Did you know that you may be eligible for a comprehensive infant eye assessment between 6 and 12 months of age as a no-cost public service?
You see the signs every day of your babies development such as cooing, crawling, and sitting up, but how do you know that your child’s eye site (sight) is developing the way it is supposed to? Your baby’s vision has stages of development too, but the signs marking progress are not so obvious.
It’s up to you to help your child develop properly, and ensure that (he or) she sees (his or) her new world clearly and accurately.
There are lots of eye conditions that have no symptoms and do not necessarily show up in a well(ness) baby visit at your doctor. Detecting these conditions early is the best way to make sure your child has healthy eyes and that their vision is developing normally.
We can help.
InfantSEE, is a program that has been developed by the American Optometric Association and Johnson & Johnson Vision, it is a public health program there to ensure that eye and vision care becomes a regular part of infant wellness care and it has the potential to dramatically improve a child’s quality of life. At Altig Optical, we feel so strongly about the importance of healthy vision and we are thrilled to take part in this program.
