Q&A with Dr. Altig

Dr. William D. Altig Answers Your Eye Care Questions

What is DriveSafe?

DriveSafe is a special coating on Zeiss lenses that enhances your vision. DriveSafe lenses let more light into the back of your eye using an anti-reflective coating, so you are not losing as much light being reflected off the surface of your lenses.

Therefore, more light gets into your eye and enhances your day vision. DriveSafe lenses also decrease what are called aberrations, which are imperfections in your eye that everybody has.

When comparing one lens to another, when your prescription is the same, your vision with the lens with the DriveSafe coating will be sharper, crisper and clearer.
